Brad Hogg Cricketer

George Bradley "Brad" Hogg (born 6 February 1971), is an Australian cricketer. He is a left-arm chinaman bowler, and a capable lower-order left-handed batsman, as well as an excellent fielder. Hogg retired from international cricket in 2008 however in 2011/12, at 40 years of age, Hogg made a surprising and triumphant comeback with the Perth Scorchers team in the Australia T20 Big Bash. As a result of that success, Hogg secured contracts from around the world; Bangladesh BPL T20, South Africa Mi-Way T20, India IPL T20, and is a strong contender for a position in the Australian team at the 2012 World Cup. His earlier international career was revitalised by Shane Warne's absence from cricket in 2003 due to suspension from a drugs test and subsequent retirement from one-day cricket. He is Australia's sixth most successful One Day International bowler and second most successful spinner in terms of wickets taken. He was a member of Australia's victorious 2003 and 2007 Cricket World Cup teams and is one of only 15 players to have won the Cup more than once. He retired from International cricket on 4 March 2008 after the 2007-08 Commonwealth Bank Series. In November 2011, Hogg signed with the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League for the 2011–12 season. He was subsequently selected for the Australian side and played two Twenty20 Internationals against India, and currently travels the world with the international T20 tournaments.
