Detlev Graf von Garnier-Turawa Military person

Detlev Graf von Garnier-Turawa (24 September 1906 – 27 June 1944) was a highly decorated Hauptmann der Reserve in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Detlev Graf von Garnier-Turawa was killed on 27 June 1944 near Babins, Russia.
