Fernando Velasco American football player

Fernando Velasco (born February 22, 1985) is an American football offensive guard for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. He was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He has also played one year with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Before that, he played college football at Georgia. He played his high school football at Jefferson County High School in his hometown of Wrens, Georgia near Augusta. He started his first career game on October 10 in a 34-27 win against the Cowboys. He was released by the Titans on August 30, 2013. On September 9, 2013, he was signed by the Steelers after an injury to Maurkice Pouncey, and Velasco was quickly put into the starting lineup.
