Herbert Borchardt Military person

Herbert Borchardt (11 February 1914 – 6 August 1944) was a highly decorated Leutnant der Reserves in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Herbert Borchardt died on 6 August 1944 near Tryškiai, Lithuania.
