Paul Both Military person

Paul Both (3 March 1911 – 12 August 1944) was a highly decorated Leutnant der Reserve in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Paul Both died on 12 August 1944, after being hit in an air raid. He was posthumously promoted to Leutnant der Reserve
