Robert Yates Cricketer
Robert John Yates (1845 – 6 October 1931) was a New Zealand cricketer who played 15 first-class matches between the 1873–74 and 1893–94 seasons, all for Auckland. Yates scored only one half-century, making precisely 50 against Wellington at Auckland Domain in April 1887. He acted as captain for the only time in this match.
