Werner Duve Military person

Werner Duve (19 November 1911 – 3 March 1945) was a highly decorated Oberstleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Werner Duve was wounded on 3 March 1945 and died later that day.
