Matt Elliott American football player

Eric Matthew Elliott (born October 1, 1968 in Carmel, Indiana) is a retired American football offensive lineman. At the University of Michigan, Elliott played all three interior offensive line positions for the Wolverines, starting 35 games during his college career. He was named the co-MVP of the January 1991 Gator Bowl at the conclusion of his junior season and earned All-American honors as a senior in 1991.Elliott was chosen by the Washington Redskins with the 336th (and final) selection in the 1992 NFL Draft, giving him the designation of Mr. Irrelevant. Despite that moniker, Elliott played 16 games for the Redskins as a rookie in 1992. A knee injury forced him to miss the 1993 season and he was cut during training camp in 1994.In 1995 he signed with the Carolina Panthers and started 32 games for the team in three seasons.He currently lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife and three children.
