Jim Daniell American football player

James Lachlan "Big Jim" Daniell (April 10, 1918 – December 13, 1983) was an American football offensive tackle/defensive tackle in the National Football League. He played high school football for Mt. Lebanon High School and college football for the Ohio State Buckyes. A 12th round selection (110th overall) of the 1942 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He played for the Bears (1945) and the Cleveland Browns (1946) serving as the Browns first captain. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1977.
